DCP Ordering Guide for Accepted Filmmakers
Pure DCP is the recommended DCP vendor and filmmaker resource for filmmakers accepted into UnShushed! Film Festival. Filmmakers who need a new DCP may order directly through Pure DCP.
Standard five-day DCP service is $5 per finished minute. The normal $150 minimum order is waived for short films accepted into UnShushed! Film Festival. Additional turnaround options are available through the ordering interface.
Pure DCP is not collecting, reviewing, or delivering every film in the festival. Delivery coordination applies only to DCPs ordered and created through Pure DCP.
Preparing Source Files for a New DCP
When ordering a new DCP, upload the highest-quality final master available. Apple ProRes 422 HQ is preferred.
Common master resolutions include 1920 × 1080 (HD) and 3840 × 2160 (4K). If a ProRes master is unavailable, Pure DCP can often work from another playable source format, including H.264.
Place the order first. Secure upload instructions will be provided for that order.
After You Order a New DCP
- The filmmaker places an order and uploads the source files.
- Pure DCP creates and verifies the ordered DCP. Verification applies to DCPs created by Pure DCP.
- Digital delivery coordination is available when permitted by the festival or venue.
- Physical-drive delivery may require additional shipping time and cost.
- Six months of cloud storage is included with DCPs created through Pure DCP.
Already Have a DCP?
Filmmakers who already have a completed DCP should follow the submission and delivery instructions provided directly by UnShushed! Film Festival. Pure DCP is not collecting or quality-checking existing DCPs submitted directly to the festival.
Upload files to Pure DCP only after placing an order or receiving direct instructions from us.
Individual DCPs and Screening Blocks
Each film remains a separate DCP. Pure DCP is not creating a master Block Compilation DCP.
The festival or venue projection team arranges the individual DCPs into screening blocks and playlists for presentation.
