DCP Ordering Guide for Accepted Filmmakers

Pure DCP is proud to support The Reel Champions Shorts Fest as an in-kind donor and recommended DCP resource for accepted filmmakers.

If your short film has been accepted into TRC Shorts Fest and you need a Digital Cinema Package (DCP), you may order directly through Pure DCP.

Festival benefit and minimum-order waiver:

  • Standard five-day service is $5 per finished minute.
  • The normal $150 minimum order is waived for qualifying short films accepted into TRC Shorts Fest.
  • Other turnaround options may be available through the existing ordering interface.

For DCPs ordered through Pure DCP, we provide professional DCP creation, verification, and delivery coordination when needed. Pure DCP is not responsible for collecting, checking, or delivering every film in the festival.

What File Should I Upload?

The best file format for creating a DCP is:

Apple ProRes 422 HQ

Typical master files filmmakers deliver are:

  • 1920 × 1080 (HD)
  • 3840 × 2160 (4K)

If you don’t have a ProRes file, that’s okay — we can create a DCP from any video formats that we can play, including H.264.

What Happens After I Order?

The process is simple:

  1. Place your order below.
  2. Upload your master file. We will send a secure upload link for your Pure DCP order.
  3. We create and verify your DCP. Pure DCP checks picture, audio, and sync for DCPs ordered through us.
  4. Coordinate delivery when needed. For DCPs ordered through Pure DCP, we can coordinate delivery based on the screening instructions you provide.

Pure DCP is not responsible for the festival’s complete screening-file delivery.

Already Have a DCP?

If your DCP has already been created, you do not need to place an order with Pure DCP.

Best Student Short Award

The recipient of the Best Student Short award will receive complimentary DCP creation from Pure DCP for future festival screenings, theatrical presentations, or an updated master.
